Bettye Davis East moves up two spots to No. 2 in the latest High School Football America Alaska Top 5 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Thunderbirds movement comes after beating former No. 2 West 36-29.
Up next for the T-birds is a trip to California where they play Central High in Fresno.
Dimond, off to a 2-0 start, breaks into the Top 5 for the first time in a while at No. 4. Like BDE, the Lynx are traveling to California this week to play Linfield Christian in Temecula.
Bartlett is new to the statewide rankings at No. 5.
