Allen soars in latest Texas Top 25 high school football rankings after beating Denton Guyer

Allen climbs seven spots in the latest High School Football America Texas Top 25 powered by NFL Play Football. The Eagles sit at No. 5 after beating Denton Guyer 38-31, which drops the Wildcats from No. 4 to No. 6.

Jaylen Jenkins had a big game for Allen with 190 yards on the ground with three touchdowns, plus he added 70 receiving yards. 

As a team, Allen ran for 357 yards.

Atascocita, which handed Allen its only loss this year, moves-up two spots to No. 10 after beating C.E. King. The Eagles lone loss this year was to Guyer.

Duncanville continues to rebound from its season-opening loss No. 1 Mater Dei from California. After beating Waxahachie 52-3, he Panthers move-up two spots to No. 4 this week.

Duncanville has now won five straight since the 45-3 loss to Mater Dei on August 27.

DeSoto’s 45-0 shutout of former No. 19 Cedar Hill in the Battle of Beltline moves the Eagles up three spots to No. 19 in the latest rankings created with our proprietary algorithm.

Breaking into the Top 25 are Veterans Memorial (Corpus Christi) at No. 24 and Cibolo Steele at No. 25.

On the national scene, Westlake, Southlake Carrol and Katy and ranked No. 2, No. 6 and No. 7, respectively, in the High School Football America 100.
