Allen (Texas) leads USA Today High School Sports “Who Should be #1” Fan Poll

USA Today High School Sports is getting everyone’s juices flowing for the 2015 high school football season by asking fans to vote for which team should be #1 when its preseason Super 25 comes-out in early August.

Voting began earlier this week with fans voting for one of 19 teams in the poll.  As of 10:30 AM Eastern time today, Allen High School in Texas has a slight lead over Colquitt County HS from Georgia with nearly 22,000 votes cast.

Here’s how the teams stack-up to this point:

1. Allen (Texas) 7,936 votes

2. Colquitt County (Georgia) 7,657 votes

3. Webb City (Missouri) 2,271 votes

4. Archer (Georgia) 1,089 votes

5. Clay-Chalkville (Alabama) 1,069 votes

6. Ocean Lakes (Virginia) 971 votes

7. Katy (Texas) 270 votes

8. IMG Academy (Florida) 183 votes

9. DeMatha (Maryland) 118 votes

10. Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) 79 votes

11. Chandler (Arizona) 71 votes

12. De La Salle (California) 68 votes

13. DeSoto (Texas) 52 votes

14. Miami Central (Florida) 40 votes

15. St. John Bosco (California) 28 votes

16. Bingham (Utah) 23 votes

17. South Panola (Mississippi) 16 votes

18. Cedar Hill (Texas) 14 votes

19. Corona Centennial (California) 10 votes
