Allen is expected to name a new head coach Monday night.

David Smoak of ESPN reported last week that there are four finalists to replace Tom Westerberg, who resigned earlier this month to go to Barbers Hill outside of Houston.

The school board will choose from current Allen defensive coordinator Cory Cain, San Antonio Brandeis head coach Jeff Fleener, Waco Midland head coach Terry Gambill and Rockwall head coach Rodney Webb.  Fleener and Gambill are other former assistants with the Eagles.

Westerberg left after leading Allen to four Texas state titles in the state’s biggest classification.  Westerberg’s record was 148-15 during his stay as head coach with the Eagles.
