Tom Westerberg, head coach of the Allen Eagles in Texas, joined Jeff Fisher on Thursday’s High School Football America Radio Show to discuss his team’s upcoming season.
Allen has won three straight Texas state championships and has been crowned “mythical” national champions by High School Football America for three straight seasons. On the show, Westerberg discusses finding a replacement for quarterback Kyler Murray, who was undefeated for three years as a high school QB, plus Westerberg talks about what makes this year’s defense a cornerstone of the team.
Also on the show, Fisher talked Florida high school football with Josh Wilson, founder of FloridaHSFootball.com, which is part of USA Today High School Sports digital network.
Fisher’s final guest Dr. Chris Koutures, team doctor for Orange Lutheran High School in Southern California. Dr. Koutures discussed a wide array of topics from hydration to new practice rules limiting full-contact.
