America’s Oldest Thanksgiving Day high school football game goes to Needham (Massachusetts)

For the first time since 2018, Needham is celebrating a Turkey Day win over arch-rival Wellesley. Thursday morning, the Rockets beat Wellesley with Tate Heffmiester rushing for 235 yards and three touchdowns in a 21-7 victory.

It was the 136th installment of America’s oldest Thanksgiving high school football rivalry that dates back to 1882.

Wellesley still leads the all-time series 66-61-9.
