After leading Edgewood Academy to seven Alabama Independent School Association state championships, Bobby Carr now owns one as the head coach at Autauga Academy. Friday, Autauga beat Escambia Academy 49-0 at Troy’s Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Carr’s son Tripp completed 9-of-15 passes for 313 yards and three touchdowns and ran for a 74-yard touchdown.

The win reversed last year’s championship result when Escambia beat Autauga 30-20.
