Arizona Football Coaches proposing delaying the 2020 regular season until early October

According to the Arizona Republic‘s Richard Obert, the Arizona Football Coaches Association will propose early next week that the Arizona Interscholastic Association push the start of regular season to October 2 for the season openers. Currently, the AIA is planning on the regular season to start September 11 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Obert’s story discloses that the coaches are proposing an eight-game regular season with the postseason starting in the quarterfinals.
