Avon moves up 13 spots in the latest High School Football America Ohio Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Eagles are ranked No. 10 this week after handing Glenville its first loss of the season. The Tarblooders stay at No. 11 despite the 24-16 loss.

The win also brought Avon into our national rankings. The Eagles are currently ranked No. 168 in the HSFA 300 created with our proprietary algorithm.

Trotwood-Madison cracks the Top 25 at No. 14 after edging former No. 6 Springfield 22-21. The loss drops the Wildcats to No. 15 this week. They’ll try to rebound this week when they play No. 20 Wayne (Huber Heights).

Cleveland Heights makes its first-ever appearance in our statewide Top 25. The Tigers are No. 24 after edging former No. 25 Hudson last weekend.

This week’s Game of the Week will be in Cincinnati on Saturday with No. 7 Elder hosting top-ranked St. Edward.

Aside from St. Ed/Elder and Springfield/Wayne games, there are two other head-to-head matchups in the Top 25:

  • No. 6 Pickerington North vs. No. 13 Pickerington Central
  • No. 17 St. Ignatius vs. No. 23 Austintown-Fitch
