An incredible defensive stand at the end of the game gave Benedictine is second straight Georgia Class 4A state championship Friday at Georgia State’s Center Parc Stadium.

Benedictine, ranked just outside of the High School Football America 300 national rankings at No. 302, was clinging to a 14-13 lead on No. 255 Cedartown. The Bulldogs looked like they were ready to take their first lead in the game with a first-and-goal at the Benedictine 1-yard line with about a minute to play.

The Benedictine defense denied Cedartown the end zone on four straight plays to wrap-up the school’s fourth overall state title in the last four year.
