Several head-to-head matchups last weekend in the High School Football America Florida Top 25, powered by NFL Play Football, are shaping this week’s statewide rankings.
We’ll start at the top where No. 1 Miami Central solidified its hold on the top spot with a 42-35 win over Miami Columbus. The Rockets exploded to a 35-7 lead before the Explorers closed the gap. Columbus falls from No. 6 to No. 8 this week in the rankings created with our proprietary algorithm.
Bartram Trail is up two spots this week to No. 16 after beating No. 18 Buchholz in a battle of unbeatens. The 21-6 victory puts the Bears at the top of the 4S District 3 standings.
Lakeland holds its No. 11 ranking after an impressive 44-6 win over former No. 24 Clearwater Academy International. It was the first loss of the year for CAI.
