It’s been a long year for the Bellevue High School (Washington) football program. Bellevue was rocked by a 68-page report conducted by the Washington Interscholastic Athletic Association and an independent organization, that found numerous rules violations throughout the program that captured 11 state championships under head coach Butch Goncharoff.
As a result of the investigation, SeaKing District 2, which overseas KingCo Conference, imposed a four year ban from the postseason,, which was cut in-half after Bellevue appealed the sanctions.
With Goncharoff off the sideline, Bellevue played a limited 2016 schedule. The Wolverines finished 5-1 this season under interim head coach Mark Landes.
Earlier this week, the Bellevue School District began advertising for a new head coach for 2017. The job posting can be found here on our Coaches Job Board.
