Benjamin wins second straight Texas 6-man Class A Division II high school football championship

Benjamin routed Oglesby 82-34 for the school’s second straight 6-man Class 1A Division II high school football championship Wednesday at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.

Leading the way was Grayson Rigdon, who had his hand in ten touchdowns. The junior ran for six, threw for three and caught a touchdown pass. He now owns the University Interscholastic League 6-man record with 17 touchdowns in his career.

After winning a state championship as a freshman at Strawn High, Rigdon is now a perfect 44-0 in his scholastic career.
