Bergen Catholic’s (NJ) Nunzio Campanile leaves for Rutgers

Bergen Catholic, which finished No. 12 in the 2017 High School Football America Top 100 national rankings, is in the market for a new head coach.  Nunzio Campanile, who’s been the Crusaders’ head coach since 2010, is leaving to take become Rutgers University’s running backs coach.

Last season, BC won its first state championship since 2004 when it captured the Non-Public Group 4 title.  Campanile was 60-29 since taking over the Crusaders.

Bergen Catholic’s only two losses last year came at the hands of national champ Mater Dei (California) and No. 24 Archbishop Wood from Pennsylvania.
