Big 33 announces 2016 PA squad

Big 33 Classic

The Big 33 Foundation on Friday announced the Pennsylvania roster for the 59th annual Big 33 Classic that will be played between PA all-star high school football players and all-stars from Maryland on June 18th in Hershey.

The game is known as America’s best all-star high school football game, because there’s never been a Super Bowl without a Big 33 alum on the field.

The Pennsylvania star will be coached by Downingtown East head coach Mike Matta.

Last year, Pennsylvania won a rain-shortened game 20-3.  Since resuming the series with Maryland three years ago, the PA stars have won twice with Maryland winning a double overtime game in 2014.
