Skyridge is sending notice to 6A teams across the state that the Falcons need to be mentioned when discussing the road to a state title. Skyridge beat four-time defending state champ Orem 36-0 Friday night. The Falcons defense has now blanked four straight opponents. Orem entered the game averaging 42 point a game.
Skyridge is up one spot in the latest High School Football America Utah Top 10 powered by NFL Play Football. Orem drops from No. 2 to No. 5.
This week, Skyridge will test itself against Timpivew. The Thunderbirds are up a spot to No. 6 after beating former No. 6 Bingham 24-12.
Two-time defending 4A champ Sky View continues to drop. The Bobcats are down one to No. 9 after their second straight loss.
Mountain Ridge’s 26-10 win over the defending state champs moves the Sentinels from No. 10 to No. 7 this week.
American Fork is up one spot to No. 3 after an impressive win in Southern California. The Cavemen beat Serra (Gardena, California) 59-27. That win moves AF into our Top 200 nationally at No. 176. This week, American Fork will play No. 8 Bingham, which has lost two in a row.
No. 2 Lone Peak will play a big one in Las Vegas. The Knight will play Bishop Gorman, currently ranked No. 20 in the nation.
