Bishop Gorman (Nevada) unanimous choice for #1 in Top 25 media compilation poll

Bishop Gorman

Bishop Gorman (Nevada) is the unanimous #1 team in the latest High School Football America Top 25 media compilation poll.  The Gaels, who beat St. John Bosco (California) Friday, are now ranked #1 by all four national polls that we use in our media compilation poll — the USA TODAY Super 25, MaxPreps’ Xcellent 25 and PrepNation’s National Prep Poll.

Gorman scored a perfect 100 out of a possible 100 points under our system that awards points to a team on the basis of its ranking in each poll.  For example, the #1 team receives 25 points, the #2 team receives 24 points and so forth down to #25.

IMG Academy (Florida) is a unanimous #2.  The Ascenders are points behind top-ranked Bishop Gorman.

Roswell (Georgia), which soared into the USA TODAY Super 25 from unranked to #8, climbs ten spots in our media compilation poll.  The Hornets are ranked #5 this week.

New to this week’s poll are: St. Joseph’s Prep (Pennsylvania) at #20 and Trinity (Kentucky) in a three-way tie at #23.

Booker T. Washington (Florida) and Katy (Texas) dropped-out.
