Spring high school football 2021 is underway, but the top of the High School Football America Rhode Island Top 5 looks like 2019. Two-time defending state champ Bishop Hendricken starts this shortened season ranked No. 1.
The Hawks were scheduled to play Portsmouth, the same team they beat for the 2019 championship, but that game was cancelled due to COVID-19. Instead, BH cruised by Burrillville 42-7.
No. 4 Portsmouth is hoping to play No. 2 La Salle Academy on Saturday.
