Bothell wins first-ever Washington high school football title

Bothell High School Cougars footballThe Bothell Cougars are the 2014 Washington 4A state champs after a 24-14 win Saturday night over defending state champ Chiawana (12-2).  The victory gave the school its first state title and first undefeated season as it finished 14-0.

The Seattle Times reports that Bothell was led by two 100-yard rushing performances from Caleb Meyer, who rushed for 105 yards, and Damani St. John-Watkins, who picked-up 103 yards.  However, senior quarterback Ross Bowers was also had a big hand in the win with a 17-of-19 passing performance for 216 yards and a touchdown.
