Competitive balance is coming to the California Interscholastic Federation San Diego Section‘s high school football playoffs.
Under the new plan, which is similar to the one used by the CIF-Southern Section, playoff divisions won’t be determined until the end of the season. Once the regular season comes to an end, teams will be placed in their respective divisions based upon their results, and the Cal Preps computer rankings.
