The California Interscholastic Federation has released this weekend’s schedule of State Football Championship Bowl Games. 

Saddleback College in Mission Viejo will host the five largest classification games on Friday and Saturday. The finale of the five-game card will feature No. 2 St. John Bosco taking-on No. 24 Serra (San Mateo) that will have a huge impact on the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.

Bosco, our 2019 national champs, are 3-0 in state championship game appearances. Serra is 1-3 in state title games.

The Division I-AA title game on Friday night pits 7-time state champ De La Salle taking-on San Diego’s Lincoln High School, looking for its first title. Both teams are ranked in the HSFA rankings — DLS at No. 78 and Lincoln at No. 85.

De La Salle will be playing in its 15th state championship game. The Spartans are 7-7 in title games.

Two nationally-ranked teams will battle for the Division I-A championship. Pittsburg is currently ranked No. 81. Liberty (Bakersfield) entered the national rankings this week at No. 265. Both teams are looking for their first state championship.

According to a CIF news release, 16 schools are making their CIF State Football Championship Bowl Game debut They are: Atascadero, Classical Academy, Granada Hills, Granite Hills, Hughson, Laguna Hills, Mendota, Muir, Northwood, Orland, Pinole Valley, San Gabriel, San Jacinto, San Ramon Valley, Santa Teresa, Shafter.
