Mater Dei solidified its spot atop the High School Football America California Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, with a 42-25 win over No. 3 Corona Centennial. Now, after a bye week, the Monarchs will face Bishop Gorman (Nevada).
If Gorman beats Florida-power St. Thomas Aquinas this week, it’s likely that Mater Dei and the Gaels will enter the game ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the HSFA 300 national rankings. The Monarchs started the year No. 1 in both our state and national rankings.
