The top four teams in the High School Football America California Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, will do battle this weekend.
In one CIF Southern Section semifinal, top-ranked Mater Dei will face No. 4 Corona Centennial. In the other, No. 2 St. John Bosco plays No. 3 Orange Lutheran. Both games are replays of regular season matchups.
In the season opener, Mater Dei beat Corona Centennial 42-25. On October 4, Bosco came from behind to beat OLu 28-24.
The CIF-SS Division 2 semis are also Top 25 head-to-heads — No. 14 Murrieta Valley plays No. 15 Oaks Christian and No. 19 Yorba Linda faces No. 25 Newbury Park.
In the San Diego Section Open Division championship game, No. 12 Lincoln (San Diego) plays No. 23 Cathedral Catholic. Back on October 18, Lincoln beat CC 27-7.
Up north, the the North Coast Section’s Division 1/Open plays, No. 6 De La Salle meets No. 13 Pittsburg.
