It’s time for Mater Dei/St. John Bosco Part II. The two top teams in the latest High School Football America California Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, will play Friday night in Long Beach for the CIF Southern Section championship and a berth in the state’s Open Division championship.

The CIF Southern Section Division 2 championship will also be a head-to-head Top 25 matchup. Top-seeded Murrieta Valley, No. 14 in the state, faces No. 20 Newberry Park.

Up north, No. 6 De La Salle beat No. 13 Pittsburg for the North Coast Section Open Division title. The Spartans will play the winner of the Mater Dei/St. John Bosco game on December 14 for the state championship.
