Santa Margarita jumps from No. 12 to No. 8 in the latest High School Football America California Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Eagles soar after taking-down former No. 3 Corona Centennial 31-15. The Huskies, who are now 0-2, fall eight spots to No. 11.

New to the statewide rankings this week is Rocklin at No. 24. St. Mary’s (Stockton) returns at No. 25, one week after dropping out.

All focus now turns to this weekend’s HSFA 300 national showdown between No. 1 Mater Dei and No. 2 Bishop Gorman (Nevada). Gorman enters the game on a 27-game win streak. The Gaels haven’t lost since the Monarchs beat them in August 2022.
