California’s Truckee wins Nevada 3A high school football championship

Situated on the California/Nevada border, Truckee High School has been playing in the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association since the 80’s. On Monday, at Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders, Truckee beat SLAM Academy 40-13 to capture the state 2022 Class 3A high school football championship.

It’s the program’s 13th overall title and first since 2012. The Wolverines won four straight from 2009 through 2012.
