After two years of coaching in Colorado, former Youngstown Ursuline High School head coach Dan Reardon is returning to Ohio.

Canton McKinley has named Reardon as its new coach.  From 2004 to 2011, Reardon led Ursuline to a 53-6 record.

Superintendent Adrian Allison told USA Today High School Sports Cleveland — “Dan Reardon wants to be here at Canton McKinley and he will play a highly important role in uniting our two high school programs. Most importantly, he understands that when we say ‘student-athlete,’ the role of student comes first.”

Reardon will replace Thom McDaniels, who stepped-down earlier this year.

Canton McKinley is tied for 7th on America’s all-time high school football victories list.

The Board of Education will vote on Reardon’s hiring on Monday.
