Carmel promotes defensive coordinator to head coach

Carmel High School football helmetAfter 14 years as an assistant coach at Carmel High School, John Hebert has been promoted to head coach.

Hebert, who is a Carmel grad, replaces Kevin Wright, who left the school last month to become the head coach at IMG Academy in Florida.  Hebert has been the Greyhounds defensive coordinator for the past sevens season.

Last season, Carmel spent most of the season ranked in High School Football America National Top 25, climbing as high as #17.  The Greyounds finished runner-up in Indiana’s 6A classification.
