Carrollton enters Georgia Top 25 high school football rankings

Carrollton is back in the High School Football America Georgia Top 25, powered by NFL Play Football. The Trojans, who break into the Top 25 at No. 20, avenged last year’s only season loss by beating former No. 14 Rome 23-6.

According to Georgia High School Football Daily, Ju Ju Lewis was 22-of-26 passing for 229 yards and two touchdowns. Bryce Hicks had 100 yards rushing and 108 receiving.

Rome moves down to No. 21 this week.

Buford solidified its spot at No. 1 by beating No. 2 North Cobb 21-14. Alabama-recruit Justice Haynes scored all three touchdown for Buford. The game-winner came with under a minute to play.

Collins Hill is up a notch to No. 9 after edging Brookwood 16-13. CH overcame a 13-0 halftime deficit to the Broncos, who fall to No. 10 in the latest rankings created with our proprietary algorithm.

There are three big head-to-head Top 25 matchups this weekend. Down south, No. 6 Lee County hosts No. 8 Colquitt County. No. 12 Milton, looking for its first win after back-to-back losses to nationally-ranked teams, plays No. 19 Roswell. No. 16 Valdosta travels to No. 14 Warner Robins.
