The long wait is over for high school football in the Catholic High School Football League Metropolitan New York — well at least for some teams. Due to continued COVID-19 restrictions in New York City, its fourteen league members are unable to begin their season.  The Westchester and Long Island members of the CHSFL are cleared to take the field.

Everything begins Saturday with Iona Prep facing Kellenberg Memorial at Mitchel Field in Uniondale, Long Island.

There will be a full slate of games for those cleared to play the following weekend.
