Cedar Hill Longhorns footballThe next stop for Coach Chris Fore‘s Champions’ Locker Room series is Texas for an interview with Joey McGuire, head coach of Cedar Hill High School.  Last season, the Longhorns won Texas’ Class 6A Division II championship, finishing #11 in the High School Football America Top 25.  It was Cedar Hill’s second straight state title.

Below is an excerpt of Coach Fore’s interview with Coach McGuire.

Question: What does your football program do differently from other programs in your league, conference, state that helped you win a State Championship?

Joey McGuire: Our offseason in particular our boot camp makes us different.

Question: What do you consider to be the most important aspect of your state championship?

Joey McGuire: Having a true family atmosphere where the team is more important than the individual.
