Cherry Creek’s 35-10 defeat of Santa Margarita from Southern California Trinity League, one of the best in the nation, helps move the Bruins to No. 1 in the latest High School Football America Colorado high school football Top 10 statewide rankings.

The climb from No. 2 to No. 1 also was helped by the fact that former No. 1 Valor Christian was beaten by defending Georgia 3A state champ Cedar Grove 27-17. This week, VC plays No. 9 Pomona.
