The Chicago Bears are proud to announce Earnest Davis, a senior at Chicago Academy High School in Chicago, Illinois, as the sixth recipient of the Community High School All-Star award for the 2023 season. The Community High School All-Star award, brought to you by Athletico Physical Therapy, will recognize nine total high school football players from March through May who are making a positive impact in their community and at their school.

Earnest’s dedication to community service and exceptional leadership skills makes him an ideal candidate for the Community High School All-Star Award. In his role as the President of the Manhood Mentoring Program at Chicago Academy, he has created an inclusive and welcoming environment that encourages students from diverse backgrounds to engage in meaningful conversations about crucial social issues. By fostering an environment where all students feel heard and respected, Earnest has demonstrated his ability to unite people and create positive change within his community.

In addition to his community service, Earnest has excelled academically, earning recognition as a 2022 All-State All-Academic recipient for maintaining a 3.5 GPA. He has also achieved success on the football field as the starting quarterback, earning the title of a three-time All-Conference Selection, 2022-23 Chicago Public League Team Selection and 2022-23 Chicago Sun-Times All-City Selection. He has served as a two-year captain of the football team, demonstrating strong work ethic and leadership.

Football coach Anthony Dotson praised Earnest for his positive impact on the Chicago Academy community and his many achievements, including leading his team to their first conference championship and receiving multiple awards. “Earnest works hard, is very passionate, loyal, and has a big heart. His main priority is to ensure his family is well taken care of and to give back to his community!” said Coach Dotson.

Each Community High School All-Star award recipient will receive a custom hand-painted football, gift bag and an invitation to a future Bears event. The Bears will also make a $500 donation to the charitable organization of the player’s choosing.
