The Chicago Bears have officially named running back Mason Boles of Eureka High School in Eureka, Ill. as the Chicago Bears High School All-Star for Week 8. The award is presented by Athletico Physical Therapy. The Bears will make a direct a $500 donation to the youth football program of Boles’ choice.

On Oct. 13, senior running back Mason Boles played a significant role by helping the Eureka Hornets (5-3) to an impressive 54-20 conference victory against the Ridgeview-Lexington Mustangs (2-6) on a rainy Friday night. The Hornets heavily relied on their ground/running game due to the weather, and Boles capitalized on this strategy by carrying the ball 27 times, rushing for 434 yards and scoring seven touchdowns. Boles’ outstanding performance established a new school record for total yards and touchdowns in a single game. Beyond his individual achievements, he also contributed to the team’s total ground yards, accumulating 518 yards, which set another record for Eureka High School. Boles will remain a key contributor for the Hornets as they get ready to host their season finale game against their undefeated conference rival, the Tri-Valley Vikings (8-0), on Friday night, Oct. 20.
