There’s a ton of talent at the wide receiver position in the Class of 2024. The top eight receivers in the 247Sports Composite Rankings are considered 5-star college football prospects.

Leading the way is Chaminade-Madonna’s Jeremiah Smith. The 6-3, 200-pounder will be leaving Florida, if his verbal commitment to Ohio State holds up. Smith, who is considered the No. 2 overall prospect in the class, is coming off an outstanding junior year with 58 catches for 1,073 yards with 20 touchdowns.

Chaminade-Madonna, with a ton of returning talent, starts 2023 ranked No. 14 in the High School Football America 300 preseason national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.

No. 2 receiver Micah Hudson of Lake Belton High School in Texas hasn’t make his verbal commitment yet. Unlike Smith, heading out of state, Hudson is expected to stay in-state with Texas Tech considered the favorite in front of Texas and Texas A&M.

Hudson led Lake Belton with 65 catches last year for 1,198 yards with 14 touchdowns. He averaged 163 all-purpose yards in his 11 games last season.
