Coldwater’s seventh overall Ohio high school football championship will go down as one of the most exciting. The Cavaliers trailed New Middletown Springfield 35-28 with just over a minute-and-a-half to play.

The Cavs tied it up at 36-all with 1:36 to play on Myles Blasingame’s 37-yard TD pass to Tyler Schwieterman.

After Springfield was unable to move the ball, it was forced to punt, which led to the following big return by Zack McKibben.

Brady Klingshirn then booted game-winning 26-yard field goal as time expired.

Coldwater finishes with a perfect 12-0 record.
