Colony owns its first-ever Alaska high school football state championship after a hard-fought 14-7 win over Juneau-Douglas/Thunder Mountain Friday night. JD/TM entered the game ranked No. 1 in the High School Football America Alaska Top 5, powered by NFL Play Football.
The game came down to the end last minute. Junior Colony (8-2) quarterback Jack Nash scored the game-winner with :17 seconds left to play in regulation.

The victory reversed the regular season decision between the two. On September 2, the Huskies easily defeated Colony 42-13.
