With Georgia’s new alignment for the next two seasons, Creekside finds itself in Class 4A, down from 5A. While the Seminoles classification is lower, they’re keeping up their tough non-region schedule with two high-quality out-of-state opponents.

After opening against Rome in the Corky Kell + Dave Snyder Classic on August 16, the Tribe will travel to South Carolina to play 4A champ Westside on August 24. The following week, suburban Atlanta school will be in Texas to play two-time defending 6A Division II champ DeSoto.

The program’s willingness to play a tough national schedule has led to the Seminoles being ranked in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. Last year, the Tribe finished No. 92 in the HSFA 300.

The 2023 5A runner-ups then have seven region games. The other teams in Region 4 are: Drew, Forest Park, Jackson (Atlanta), M.L. King, Mays, Midtown and Pace Academy.
