Skyline Chili Crosstown Showdown features Three Top 25 Teams from 2016

Highlighting the schedule will be a August 25th showdown between two teams that finished in the High School Football America National Top 50 last year.  Three-time Ohio Division II state champ La Salle will meet Colerain at Nippert Stadium at the University of Cincinnati in the season opener for both teams.  La Salle finished 2016 ranked No. 21 in our national rankings that are developed with our proprietary algorithm, while Colerain was ranked No. 33.

Last year, Colerain beat La Salle 6-0, which snapped a two-game losing streak to the Lancers.

Defending Division I champ St. Xavier, which finished No. 22 in the national rankings, is also on the schedule.  The Bombers will play Illlinois’ Hinsdale Central on August 26th at Nippert.  Last year, Hinsdale finished a perfect 9-0, losing to Waubonsie Valley in the opening round of the Illinois Class 8A playoffs.
