Reigning Class LL champ Darien starts 2022 as the No. 1 team in the High School Football America Connecticut Top 10, powered by NFL Play Football. The Blue Wave will get a good test out of the box as they face No. 5 St. Joseph on Saturday.

This season marks the start of a new alignment in the Nutmeg State. The Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference has added two classifications in football, which means their will be six champs crowned in December.

The HSFA statewide rankings are created with our proprietary algorithm that is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2023.
