The Carmel Greyhounds are the No. 1 team in the Hoosier State entering the 2020 high school football season. Carmel, the defending 6A champs, are the top team in the Preseason High School Football America Indiana Top 10 that is created with our proprietary algorithm.

The highly-anticipated Week 1 matchup between No. 2 Center Grove and No. 8 Warren Central will not be played. The game has been canceled because of too many Warren Central players are in quarantine from COVID-19.

Two-time defending champ New Palestine, which finished No. 1 in the state last year, is also sidelined by the coronavirus pandemic. The Dragons were scheduled to play Decatur Central. Those two met for the Class 5A title two years ago. Next week, Decatur Central is schedule to play Center Grove.
