Pinson Valley’s shocking 34-2 defeat of defending 6A champ Oxford in the state quarterfinals shakes-up the latest High School Football America Alabama Top 10. PV jumps from No. 9 to No. 6 in the latest statewide rankings, while Oxford falls three spots to No. 3.

Next-up for Pinson Valley in the state semis will be Mountain Brook, which enters the Top 10 at No. 9.

At the top, defending 7A state champ Thompson is heading to its third straight state championship after easily beating Hoover in the state semis. The Warriors will play No. 5 Auburn, which disposed of No. 7 Central (Phenix City) last week.
