Delaware Division I high school football state championship goes to Hodgson Vo-Tech

Hodgson Vo-Tech is Delaware’s 2019 Division I high school football state champ after beating Middletown 54-31. The game was the highest scoring championship game in Delaware high school football history.

Leading the way was, running back Josh Ames with 191 yards rushing and three touchdowns.  Quarterback C.J. Henry added 161 yards passing with four touchdowns.

Hodgson, ranked No. 1 in the High School Football America Delaware Top 5, finishes a perfect 12-0. Middletown entered the game No. 2 in our statewide rankings.
