Denton Guyer’s 14-7 overtime win against crosstown rival Denton Ryan moves the Wildcats from No. 13 to No. 6 in the latest High School Football America Texas Top 25 powered by NFL Play Football. The win snapped the Raiders’ 60-game regular season win streak.

Allen’s state record 84-game state win streak came to an end Friday night, as well. Not only did Atascocita’s 41-20 win snap the win streak, it was also the first-ever loss for Allen in Eagle Stadium that opened in 2012.

Atascocita breaks into this week’s rankings created with our proprietary algorithm at No. 13. Allen tumbles to its lowest ranking (No. 15) ever since High School Football America began its state rankings in 2013.

The other new Top 25 team this week is Fort Bend Marshall at No. 24.

Allen will try to rebound this week when it plays No. 17 Cedar Hill. The Allen/Cedar Hill game is one of two Top 25 head-to-head matchups in the statewide rankings. The other is No. 5 Rockwall taking-on No. 11 Lake Travis.

The top sixteen teams in the statewide rankings are also ranked in the High School Football America 100 national rankings.
