DeSoto is now a two-time champ of the Texas 7-on-7 passing tournament. On Saturday, the Eagles beat Midlothian Heritage 27-14 in the championship game.

The passing championship may set the tone of DeSoto, which last season finished No. 73 in the High School Football America 100, powered by NFL Play Football.

The Eagles, who won a title in 2011, are the sixth school to win more than one 7-on-7 championship. Celina owns four titles, Graham owns three. Desoto,Kaufman, Lake Travis and Southlake Carroll have each won two titles.
