Defending Division 3 state champ Detroit Martin Luther King starts 2022 ranked No. 1 in the High School Football America Michigan Top 10, powered by NFL Play Football. Once again this year, the Crusaders will test themselves against two strong out-of-state opponents that start the season in our national rankings.
MLK will open against Indiana’s Warren Central, No. 249 in our Preseason 300. The Crusaders will close-out the regular season against No. 28 Archbishop Moeller from Ohio.
Detroit King opens the season ranked No. 34 in the High School Football America 300.
No. 2 Belleville, the state’s defending Division 1 champ is also in the Top 100 at No. 67.
Defending Division 2 champ De La Salle Collegiate is just outside the Top 100 at No. 103.
In all, the top six teams in the statewide rankings are ranked in the HSFA 300.
