DeWitt (Michigan) head coach Rob Zimmerman named runner-up for Don Shula NFL High School Coach of the Year

Rob Zimmerman, DeWitt’s head coach for over two decades, is the runner-up for the 2020 Don Shula NFL High School Coach of the Year Award. Zimmerman, the Detroit Lions nominee, was one of 32 coaches in the running for the award that was won by Derrick Avery of Atlanta’s Booker T. Washington High School.

This past season, Zimmerman led DeWitt to the Division 3 state championship.
