Dowling Catholic will be going after its seventh straight Iowa Class 4A state championship this year. If the Maroons capture gold again in 2019, they will do something no other team in Iowa has ever done — win seven straight. Right now, DC is tied with Iowa City’s Regina High School, which won six straight from 2010 to 2015.
Dowling Catholic begins 2019 as the No. 1 team in the High School Football America Iowa Top 10 that is created with our proprietary algorithm. The Maroons open the season against No. 7 Waukee.
