The 2022 North Carolina 3A high school football state championship belongs to East Lincoln. The Mustangs collected their third state championship with a 30-15 win over Northern Nash. The win was East Lincoln’s first State Championship victory since 2014.
Both teams entered the game with 15-0 records.
