No. 69 East St. Louis wins 10th overall Illinois high school football state championship

For the second time in three years, East St. Louis in an Illinois high school football state champ. Saturday, the Flyers, ranked No. 69 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, beat Prairie Ridge 57-7 in the 6A championship game at the University of Illinois.

Running back TaRyan Martin ran for three touchdowns and Robert “Pops” Battle threw for two touchdowns and ran for another.

ESL has now won 10 Illinois high school football state championships.
